Purpose
Established in 1999, the South Florida Building Officials Association exists to protect public health, safety, and welfare through excellence in building safety and code enforcement. The Association advances its mission by empowering and supporting Building Officials and Building Inspectors through education, advocacy, leadership, and progressive code development. SFBOA provides a collaborative forum for the discussion, interpretation, and consistent application of Building Codes, promotes professional certification and continuing education, and works in partnership with allied organizations to strengthen uniform enforcement practices. Through these efforts, the Association supports safe, resilient, and sustainable communities throughout South Florida.
